Buy Human Pbmc

At BuyPBMCs, all of our mononuclear cells undergo HLA testing. This form of testing allows us to determine which human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genes and antigens are present in the donor's blood. We have extensively examined each sample of healthy PBMCs to ensure there are no blood-borne pathogens. These cells are collected from donors who have tested negative for HBV, HCV, and HIV in accordance with Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved protocols. Furthermore, every order comes with a Certificate of Analysis that verifies the donor demographics, characterization, and cell quality contained within each vial.

Disease state PBMCs are isolated from leukopaks or whole blood using density gradient separation methods of collection. At BuyPBMCs, we can supply human PBMCs that have been diagnosed for the following conditions: Autoimmune disease, infectious disease, and cancer. All of our disease state PBMCs are highly annotated, accompanied by detailed reports regarding donor demographics, date of diagnosis, and any medications the donor is currently taking.

These cells are a crucial part of the human immune system since they can detect when other cells have been infiltrated by disease or converted into cancerous cells. PBMCs will respond to these changes. Lymphocytes, for example, will attack any foreign antibodies they encounter within the bloodstream, preventing them from spreading or developing into a major health concern.

All of our products are intended only for research or manufacturing use unless otherwise arranged. Products are not to be used for human therapeutics or for any other purposes such as in vitro diagnostic uses, in foods, drugs, medical devices, or cosmetics for humans or animals, or for commercial use.

Our healthy human PBMCs are sourced from a renowned world-class blood collection center that has been a pioneer in many screening processes. All donors have been tested for various infectious diseases, including HIV and Hepatitis B/C, as well as normal levels of hemoglobin. Further, donors undergo a screening questionnaire to disclose vital statistics, medication, cancer history, and travel history to ensure that they are healthy and their PBMCs will reliably serve your research endeavors.

Once at our lab, PBMCs are isolated by performing density centrifugation with Ficoll, a high molecular weight sucrose solution, to remove red blood cells under sterile conditions. Depending on the species (human or non-human) of blood, either 1.077 or 1.084 g/ml Ficoll is used, resulting in a perfect layer of mononuclear cells that are separated from plasma, platelets, granulocytes, and erythrocytes. Additional quality control steps are taken to isolate and prepare PBMCs that ensure the highest viability for cryopreservation and downstream experimental applications.

For international (non-US) customers, we work closely with you and our couriers to ensure all necessary documentation is in place for international shipments to significantly reduce the chance of delays at Customs. For the export of non-human primate samples, this includes preparing CITES permits, as well as any other documentation as required by country. Please submit an inquiry to for your estimated time of delivery and shipping charges.

Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC), also known as Human Mononuclear Cells from Peripheral Blood (HMNC-PB), are cells possessing a single, round nucleus and are collected from the peripheral or circulating blood. These blood cells are a critical component in the immune system to fight infection and adapt to intruders. PBMCs give selective responses to the immune system and are the major cells in the human body immunity.

As a mixed population of single nucleus cells, PBMCs mainly comprise of lymphocytes, including T cells, B cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. PMBCs are also a rich source of monocytes, such as macrophages, dendritic cells. Further cell isolations are carried out by selecting key protein surface markers such as CD4+ (T helper cells), CD8+ (cytotoxic T cells), CD14+ (monocytes). AcceGen offers 115 different types of human PBMCs.

We provide fresh and frozen peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) in partnership with Research Donors, a UK-based and HTA-licensed clinic dedicated to the collection of human blood biospecimens for research purposes. Our PBMCs are processed within 5 hours of blood collection for minimal degradation, with HLA typing available on request.

The term "normobaric oxygen paradox" (NOP), describes the response to the return to normoxia after a hyperoxic event, sensed by tissues as oxygen shortage, and resulting in up-regulation of the Hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α) transcription factor activity. The molecular characteristics of this response have not been yet fully characterized. Herein, we report the activation time trend of oxygen-sensitive transcription factors in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) obtained from healthy subjects after one hour of exposure to mild (MH), high (HH) and very high (VHH) hyperoxia, corresponding to 30%, 100%, 140% O2, respectively. Our observations confirm that MH is perceived as a hypoxic stress, characterized by the activation of HIF-1α and Nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2 (NRF2), but not Nuclear Factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB). Conversely, HH is associated to a progressive loss of NOP response and to an increase in oxidative stress leading to NRF2 and NF-kB activation, accompanied by the synthesis of glutathione (GSH). After VHH, HIF-1α activation is totally absent and oxidative stress response, accompanied by NF-κB activation, is prevalent. Intracellular GSH and Matrix metallopeptidase 9 (MMP-9) plasma levels parallel the transcription factors activation pattern and remain elevated throughout the observation time. In conclusion, our study confirms that, in vivo, the return to normoxia after MH is sensed as a hypoxic trigger characterized by HIF-1α activation. On the contrary, HH and VHH induce a shift toward an oxidative stress response, characterized by NRF2 and NF-κB activation in the first 24 h post exposure.

Humanized PBMC mice are used as in vivo models to study and evaluate compounds for infectious diseases and graft rejection research. This model has the fastest engraftment rate using adult peripheral blood mononuclear cells and enables short-term studies requiring a strong effector and memory T cell function. Created with adult peripheral blood mononuclear cells, engrafting quickly and enabling short-term studies requiring mature human T cells.

Humanized PBMC-NSG MHC I/II Double Knockout mouse model has a significantly decreased xeno-GvHD relative to the PBMC humanized NSG mouse model, making it more suitable for immuno-oncology studies. This model is available humanized with pre-characterized PBMC donors for human immune cell engraftment kinetics. May be best used with cell lines or PDX models with reliable growth (PMID30383447)

Study-ready cohorts of hu-PBMC humanized mice are provided upon request, either for shipment to your institution or for enrollment in customized drug efficacy studies executed by our In Vivo Services scientists.

ReachBio Research Labs now makes it easy for you to purchase Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) online! The blood that is used to make our primary cell products is obtained from healthy human donors under Institutional Review Board, IRB-approved protocols and processed within twenty-four to thirty hours of the initial collection. Donors have been thoroughly screened and found to be negative for a number of infectious agents, including HIV, HBV, and HCV.

Our scientists use these same primary cells every day in our contract services lab for high value projects for clients in the pharma and biotechnology industries. Their extensive experience in handling and using human primary cells is used in the production of our human cell products, resulting in high quality cells that you can rely on for your own important experiments. We use Cryostor CS5 serum-free cryopreservation medium to ensure high post-thaw viability and overfill each vial to ensure you always get at least the number of cells we advertise on the vial when they are thawed correctly.
